Krakow Running Crown

Kraków has long been home to extraordinary running events. In 2026, we invite you to take on a special challenge – earning the Krakow Running Crown. It is a series of three prestigious races held at different points throughout the year, together forming an exceptional running story of the city.

Krakow Running Crown

To earn the Krakow Running Crown, you must complete the three longest distances in-person at each of our events:

Completing all three distances in one year means earning the title of Krakow Running Crown and receiving a unique commemorative Crown medal – a symbol of perseverance, determination, and a year-long running adventure in Kraków. This special medal will be revealed soon.

There is no obligation to participate in all three races – each can be run independently. However, only those who complete all three events at the longest distances within a single year will earn the Krakow Running Crown.

Small Krakow Running Crown

For runners who prefer shorter distances or want a more flexible approach to our three events, we have prepared the Small Krakow Running Crown. To earn it, you must complete all three events in the series within one year, namely:

• Kraków Half Marathon of Marzanna or the Kraków Run “For Little Hearts” at 5 km, or either distance virtually
• Kraków Independence Run at 10 km or the Kraków Independence Mile at 1918 m, or either distance virtually
• Kraków New Year’s Eve Run at 10 km or the 5 km run, or either distance virtually

In this case, the race format and distance do not matter. This means you can complete:

• three races at shorter distances (5 km, 1918 m, 5 km)
• three races at different distances (e.g. half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km)
• three races in a virtual format at any distance
• or a combination of in-person and virtual races at any distances

Every participant who completes all three events across three different races in one year, in any combination, will receive the title of Small Krakow Running Crown and a medal.

Medal Collection

The Krakow Running Crown or Small Krakow Running Crown medal can be collected in person immediately after the final race in the series – the Kraków New Year’s Eve Run.

Those who do not collect their medal on the day will be able to order courier delivery. The cost of shipping the medal package is 39 PLN.

For participants who complete their final event in a virtual format, the Small Krakow Running Crown medal will be included in the same shipment as the virtual race starter pack, at no extra cost.
